Library Rules

 1. Be respectful of others in the library.

 2. Maintain a quiet, study atmosphere.

 3. Students must present a pass.

 4. Students are expected to follow the district’s acceptable use policy when using technology equipment.

 

Circulation Policies

 1. Students may check out up to three books at a time.

 2. Books are checked out for a period of three weeks. Books may be renewed for an additional three weeks.

 3. Overdue fines are ten cents per item per day, with a maximum fine of $3.00.

 4. Students will not receive their report card if they have overdue books on their record.

Library Rules

1. Eating and drinking is not permitted in the library. Food and drinks must be either left on the front counter, put away, or thrown away.
2. Maintain a quiet study atmosphere.
3. Students must always sign in at the circulation desk and turn in a pass, unless part of a scheduled class.
5. Chat and message boards are prohibited on library computers. Email may be used for school-related purposes (ie, emailing a teacher or guidance counselor).

I am the Library Media Specialist for Springfield High School. This is my fifteenth year as a librarian at SHS. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a master's degree in library media education.
