After a 12-year break, Springfield High School students will revive school musical drama productions on Friday, May 12, when they present, The Little House of Horrors, in the school’s main auditorium.

Choir teacher Savannah Ambrose says the experience has been a memorable one for both herself and her students.

“It’s been really great, “ she said.  “I couldn’t have done it without the enthusiasm of these students.  They are so dedicated, and have put in so much time, that having them has been wonderful.  We’ve also had help from the community and some of our parents.  There have been a lot of people both in and out of the school who have volunteered to help.”

Referring to the 12-year hiatus, Ambrose said, “ It’s a pretty big deal.  This is a pretty big musical and the kids are really looking forward to having this back.”

Ambrose said the group has been rehearsing since the beginning of semester and that there are 12 students with singing parts in the production.  Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings this weekend, at 7 p.m. both nights.
