SHS Sophomore Jaci Binkley takes home an FBLA award.

Springfield High School sophomore, Jaci Binkley, placed 1st in the State FBLA Help Desk competition held March 20-22 in Chattanooga, TN. Jaci's journey began with her signing up for the competition that she knew nothing about and studying hard to achieve her goal: to make it to Anaheim, California this summer for nationals.  Her event has both an objective test and a performance event included.

At state competition, after having taken the objective test, Jaci had to role play with the judges to solve a computer issue that the judges were having with their computer.  She persevered and placed first amongst her peers in Tennessee.  SHS is so proud of her. Jaci now advances to National FBLA competition this summer in Anaheim, California.  She is now raising funds to help pay her way. Anyone wishing to help Jaci get to Nationals, please contact Brandy Baucom, her advisor at Springfield High School at brandy.baucom@rcstn.net.  Any amount donation is greatly appreciated, as this trip will cost well over a thousand dollars.

Congratulations on your accomplishment, fellow Yellow Jacket!
