AFJROTC | TN-20021
Organization
The Springfield High School AFJROTC unit has been designated "Tennessee 20021" (TN-20021) and was established in the year 2002. The Corps of Cadets is organized as a Cadet Wing due to averaging 151+ cadets enrolled per semester. Major functions of the group are categorized into specialized duties and responsibilities. Duty positions are characterized as either command, leadership or functional positions.
Corps Leadership and management of the corps is the responsibility of the cadets
The Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI) and the Aerospace Science Instructors (ASI) are responsible for the overall function of the unit, teaching in accordance with an established curriculum, and providing the framework and guidance under which the corps operates. The cadets are assigned positions of responsibility in a variety of areas and presented with leadership challenges designed to give them valuable management and decision-making opportunities.
